Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger’s Nest, is a special Buddhist monastery clinging to the side of a mountain in the Himalayas. It is believed that the great Guru Rinpoche meditated in the very spot where the monastery stands today. However, reaching this extraordinary place requires a bit of effort. Visitors must hike up the mountain, ascending 3,000 feet, to reach the monastery, which sits at an altitude of over 10,000 feet above sea level.
