When you visit the marshes of southern Iraq and Iran, you’ll find traditional houses made of reeds. The Madan people have been living in these houses for many centuries. The larger ones are used by tribal leaders for ceremonies and as guest houses, while the rest of the community resides in smaller versions of these houses.
