In 2007, Alicia joined Osmel Sousa on the judging panel for Univision’s new beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Latina.
Contestants cohabit the same house and compete in weekly challenges to avoid elimination and secure a contract as presenters on Univision. Alicia only participated in its initial season; Lupita Jones soon replaced her.

In 2002, it was widely reported that Alicia and Jorge Reyes had an initial, short-lived romantic liaison that quickly fizzled out. However, in 2008 rumors began swirling of potential romantic reconnection between both prominent individuals.
